Android 5.0 version (aka Jellybean) is set to release in the Q2 2012 i.e in the Summer. The android devices after getting the ICS update now ready to rock with the newer version of android OS. The android 4.0 (aka Ice Cream Sandwich ) though remains all the time in news but just able to get an approximate share of just 1% of the android OS range.
According to the sources , digitimes—> The war among the top companies like microsoft, google and apple will not come to an end forever, as google wants to release a new android 5.0 Jellybean that can compete with the Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 (that runs on both Tablets + Laptops).
The developers called it the successor of the android 3.0 honeycomb - the first android OS for tablets and it will also include the features of Chrome OS (supported in chromebooks and some other devices like Acer AC700). That means google is planning to introduce the dual boot function of the Chrome OS in their next most advanced Android 5.0 Jellybean. This dual-boot function will allow the android users to switch between the next generation windows 8 OS and the Android 5.0 Jellybean thus enjoying the dual experience that will enhance the users experience especially on tablets.
Due to this dual boot function, according to our expectations, unlike the very small market share of ice cream sandwich, the Jelly bean will attract all the manufactures and will make a high impact on a bigger market. Though there is a lot of time left in releasing this new android 5.0, but at the time the tech giants like Motorola, samsung, LG and HTC will release the updates for ice cream sandwich, it may be obselete.
